Rónán Mac Con Iomaire
Rónán Mac Con Iomaire is Leascheannaire of RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta. Previously, he worked as Local Government Correspondent for RTÉ Nuacht. He has won a number of awards for his journalism, including a National Media Award and an Oireachtas Journalist of the Year award for breaking a story on Bertie Ahern’s infamous Manchester dinner. He has also filmed, edited and directed a number of documentaries for RTÉ.
Prior to RTÉ, Rónán worked for Independent Newspapers, and also as Dublin correspondent for the Irish-language newspaper, Foinse, and as an editor for eircom’s web publishing division. He has also worked for a wide variety of print, broadcast and online media on a freelance basis.
Outside of journalism, Rónán has spent two years working in public relations with the Galway-based PR company, meas media.
