Áine Madden is the Communications and Engagement Coordinator at the Digital Repository of Ireland (DRI). She has responsibility for the external presentation and communications of DRI and DRI publicity and advocacy. Prior to this she was in the role of Acting Education and Outreach Manager (maternity leave cover) where she was responsible for leading the outreach and training programme. Áine previously held the position of Programme Manager (maternity leave cover) at the DRI where she worked with the DRI Director in the day-to-day running, project planning, scheduling, and administration of the DRI and DRI partner projects.

Áine has a background in project management, event management, communications, and teaching. She has worked in the academic publishing sector (Deanta Publishing Services), arts and cultural organisations (Firkin Crane Dance Theatre, Dublin Book Festival, Big Smoke Writing Factory), media organisations (MediaHQ), as a teacher in primary and secondary schools (language support teacher at Clonburris National School in Dublin, English language teacher at Avalon English Academy in South Korea), and has taught English Literature modules at third-level (teaching assistant in Victorian Literature and Popular Literature in Trinity College Dublin). 

Her research interests include fanfiction archives, transformative works and digital culture, and community-based approaches to archiving.
