Áine Madden is Acting Education and Outreach Manager at the Digital Repository of Ireland (DRI). She has responsibility for the external presentation and communications of DRI, DRI publicity and advocacy, developing the DRI end-user base, and leading the skills and training programme for the benefit of DRI stakeholders and the wider Irish digital archiving community. Áine previously held the position of Programme Manager at the DRI where she worked with the DRI Director in the day-to-day running, project planning, scheduling, and administration of the DRI and DRI partner projects.

Áine has a background in project management, event management, and teaching and has worked in the academic publishing sector, arts organisations, and higher education institutions.

Her research interests include fanfiction archives, transformative works and digital culture, and community-based approaches to archiving.

She is a member of the Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) Workforce Development Sub-Commitee and the Intersections, Feminism, Technology & Digital Humanities (IFTe) network.
