DRI at CONUL 2018

DRI presented at the annual CONUL conference on 31 May on the subject of our MARCXML guidelines

The annual Consortium of National and University Libraries (Conul) conference took place in Galway on 30-31 May 2018. The Digital Repository of Ireland was represented by a Lightning Talk as part of Breakout Session 5: Technology in Libraries, on Day 2 of the conference. The Lightning Talk, entitled ‘Developing MARCXML guidelines for the Digital Repository of Ireland’ was authored by Clare Lanigan, Kevin Long and Kathryn Cassidy and delivered by Clare Lanigan. The talk gave an overview of the process of selecting metadata standards for guideline publications, and the relevant factors involved in developing the MARCXML guidelines.
