A new course has been announced by The Digital Preservation Training Programme (DPTP), now working under the name CoSector – University of London. The course is entitled "Introduction to Digital Preservation Planning for Research Managers" and takes place 25 May 2017 in University College London Senate House. Whilst exploring preparation, project management, equipment/outsourcing, workflows and policies, this one-day course also looks at metadata, copyright and licensing, and managing access to the digitised content.

This course follows "Digitisation – From Project Management to Access" on 28th April 2017, also in Senate House. This one-day course looks at preparation, project management, equipment/outsourcing, workflows and policies, as well as metadata, copyright and licensing, and managing access to the digitised content.

DPTP/CoSector courses designed for all those working in institutional information management who are grappling with fundamental issues of digital preservation. Last year, an online course was launched to enable people to do courses in digital preservation remotely. DPTP Online is an entry-level course aimed at complete beginners who wish to learn more about the field of digital preservation. DPTP Online 2016 was launched June 2016 and is now open permanently. You can register anytime, and there is no time limit to the Course – you can take as long as you need to complete.
